Chinese FM expresses sympathy to Algerian FM over deadly forest fires


BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday sent a message of sympathy to Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra over deadly forest fires in Algeria.

In his message, Wang said that he was shocked to learn that many parts in northern Algeria were hit by forest fires, which had caused serious casualties, and he expressed his deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured.
