LUSAKA, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Zambia has vaccinated about 4.5 million children under five years against polio following an oral vaccination drive launched in March this year, a senior government official said on Monday.
Sylvia Masebo, the Minister of Health, said the ministry was happy with the response from parents to the program which was launched as a preventive measure following an outbreak of polio in neighboring Malawi.
