African countries report 1,041 new COVID-19 cases

ADDIS ABABA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The African continent reported 1,041 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said Tuesday.

Figures from the Africa CDC showed that the number of confirmed positive cases across the continent rose from 11,365,225 Monday to 11,366,266 as of Tuesday evening.
