Russia's Lavrov tells EU's Mogherini to push Kiev towards peace talks

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavorv told the European Union's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in a phone call on Sunday that Moscow wants the bloc to push Kiev towards political dialogue with separatists in east Ukraine.

Lavrov reiterated Moscow's stance that Kiev was to blame for intensified fighting in east Ukraine in recent days, the Russian Foreign Minsitry also said in a statement.
