A VIRAL post circulating on social media claims that leave for police personnel in the Melaka contingent will be frozen from Sept 20 until further notice, linking the purported directive to developments surrounding the upcoming state election.
Is there any truth to this claim?
VERDICT:

FALSE
Melaka police have officially dismissed the viral post as fake news and completely baseless.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar clarified in a statement on Thursday (Sept 10) that no such freeze on police leave has been ordered.
"Melaka police strongly deny the authenticity of the claim," he said.
DCP Dzulkhairi urged the public not to speculate on or share unverified information that could cause public confusion.
He warned that stern action will be taken under existing laws against anyone caught deliberately spreading false information on social media.
