VIDEOS and a photo have recently surfaced showing a shirtless man, with his head wrapped in a cloth to hide his identity, attempting to break into a home in Manjung.

The videos and photos appear to have been captured by security cameras.

Police are investigating an attempted house break-in at a residence in Ayer Tawar, Manjung, after the recordings of the incident went viral on social media

Manjung OCPD Asst Comm Hasbullah Abd Rahman said police received information about the social media post on Thursday (May 7) at about 10am.

He said police had earlier received a report of the incident, which happened at about 8.35am on May 3, from a woman.

“The case is being investigated under Section 448/511 of the Penal Code for attempted house trespass,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

ACP Hasbullah urged those with information on the incident to come forward by visiting the Manjung district police headquarters or contacting the operations room at 05-6886222 or the WhatsApp hotline at 017-6828005.
