IT is an unwelcome reality that traffic disputes occur. However, what is completely unacceptable is resorting to violence when it does.
Following that, is there any truth to a social media post claiming that a motorcyclist was assaulted by a group of unruly men in Johor recently?
Verdict:

TRUE
Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said police received a report that a motorcyclist was assaulted by a group of individuals last Tuesday (March 17) night.
He said police also detected a viral post on X claiming that the victim was beaten by a group, one of whom was armed with a baseball bat.
"Preliminary investigations found that the incident is believed to have occurred when the victim, a 33-year-old man, was riding his motorcycle home after performing prayers at a mosque," he said.
ACP Tan said the victim overtook a car that was then driven reckless recklessly and overtook him in return.
"The vehicle then stopped abruptly in front of the victim's motorcycle, forcing him to stop," he said, according to Bernama.
He said four unidentified men got out of the car and one of them struck the victim on the head.
The other suspects also kicked the victim before taking his motorcycle key and fleeing the scene.
He said the victim required five stitches for a cut on his head and also suffered injuries to his body.
The case is being investigated under Sections 279 and 324 of the Penal Code for reckless driving and voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon or dangerous object.
Police urged those with information on the incident to call the Kulai police headquarters hotline at 07-663 2222 or investigating officer Insp. R. Harinnath at 017-500 5731.
