QuickCheck: Did a man steal a hanger full of clothes from a Negri Sembilan house?


WHEN it comes to break-ins and home robberies, some items like jewellery and electronics are more likely to be stolen than others.

As such, the theft of more unusual items - like entire hangers full of drying laundry - tend to raise an eyebrow, what more when they are stolen in broad daylight.

Recently, such a video went viral along with the claim that this happened in Seremban, Negri Sembilan. Is this true?

TRUE

In a statement, Seremban OCPD ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din said that a report was received on Sept 29 and added that the incident took place in Taman Chip Aik.

"From the information provided by the public and shared by the community through social media, we were able to arrest a man and seized items believed to be stolen in the incident," he said.

ACP Mohamad Hatta added that the case has been classified as a property theft and is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
