A VIDEO showing a group of bikers being pushed by strong currents together with their superbikes in Johor has gone viral on social media. Did such an incident really happen?

Mersing OCPD Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said a group of high-powered motorcycles from Singapore were almost swept away by strong currents during the floods in Johor.

The incident happened on Jalan Nitar as the convoy was heading towards Kuantan, Pahang.

“There were six high-powered motorcycles on their way to Kuantan, Pahang. However, a motorcycle broke down after going through the flood.

“Personnel from the Malaysian Armed Forces were patrolling the Kampung Jamari area when they saw the group and provided help.

“There were no police reports lodged over the incident, and no injuries were reported,” he said on Wednesday (Jan 25).
