Singapore: These robotic fitness coaches will get your body running like a machine.

The five Robocoach 2.0 models, which surround the first-generation model are developed by Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s electrical engineering division to teach exercise routines at five senior activity centres here. Commissioned by the Infocomm Development Authority and Ministry of Social and Family Development, the robots can speak in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

They pre-programmed with 10-minute-long exercise routines and music, but users can fully customise the routines. They can also take photos during exercises and help the seniors share them on Facebook. — The Straits Times / Asia News Network
