THE man who dashed across the Woodlands checkpoint in his Mercedes-Benz has been jailed for 10 months and fined S$1,400 (RM3,576) for offences including mischief and causing hurt by a rash act.
Malaysian Tan Chu Seng (pic), 64, a businessman, was also ordered to pay S$2,800 (RM7,150) compensation to the government for damaging the security barrier in March this year.
