JAKARTA: An Indonesian student was yesterday sentenced to five months in prison for torching pictures of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his deputy during a protest against rising fuel prices late last year.
Harkat Firdaus was found guilty of insulting the president during the Dec 20 demonstration – one of many held nationwide in anger at Susilo's decision to axe costly fuel subsidies.
