JAKARTA: Thailand said yesterday that the contentious issue of whether military-ruled Myanmar should host a summit of South-East Asian nations would be resolved soon amid signs that the junta may have already agreed to back down.
Pressure has been building for Myanmar to give up its chairmanship of Asean unless it speeds up democratic reform and improves its human rights record.
