SINGAPORE: Singapore must align itself with Washington because only the United States can stop global terrorism, the city-state's founding father Lee Kuan Yew was quoted as saying Monday.
“Without the US, terrorism – whether al-Qaeda, Jemaah Islamiyah or whatever groups all over the world – cannot be stopped,'' Lee was quoted as saying by the government-linked Straits Times newspaper.
