JAKARTA: Top Indonesian officials, including Vice President Hamzah Haz, have criticised the Geneva-based Henry Dunant Center (HDC) as being ineffective in mediating for peace in restive Aceh province, reports said yesterday.
In Ciamis, West Java, Haz said the HDC, which has been mediating peace talks in Aceh since 2000, was no longer effective in helping reach a peaceful settlement, the Kompas newspaper reported.
