HONG KONG: The deadly atypical pneumonia is being spread by touch and indirect contact, said scientists from the University of Hong Kong who yesterday confirmed that the pathogen of the disease is from the Coronavirus family.
Advising the public to wash their hands before touching their eyes, noses, ears and mouths, Prof Yuen Kwok Yung said the virus had a life span of several hours outside the body and could be picked up by another person who touched the infected area.
