HONG KONG: Arrivals from South-East Asia fell by over 80% in the past few days as travellers avoided the territory following the outbreak of a deadly atypical pneumonia even as 40 more people had been admitted to hospital here with the disease.
Tour bookings from South-East Asia have fallen by about 80% in recent days, said executive director of the Travel Industry Council, Joseph Tung, who described the (tourists) situation as “quite serious”.
