Finance boss has car problems

HONG KONG: Financial Secretary Antony Leung Kam Chung, already under fire for his tough measure Budget, is embroiled in another controversy after a newspaper here revealed that he bought a new luxury car just six weeks before he announced tax increases for vehicle registration.

The Apple Daily reported on Sunday that Leung had paid HK$790,000 (RM388,680) for a new Lexus 430 on Jan 23 but would have had to pay HK$50,000 (RM24,600) more under the new measures in his Budget announced last Wednesday.
