No leak in 2026 SPM English speaking test, says Exams syndicate

PETALING JAYA: The Examinations Syndicate has dismissed claims circulating on social media that questions for the 2026 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) English Speaking Test (UBBI) had been leaked.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Nov 3), the Examinations Syndicate said its review found that the information being circulated comprised a list of general themes and predictions based on the Curriculum and Assessment Standard Document (DSKP).

“Similarities in themes or keywords with the actual examination instruments do not constitute evidence of a question leak, as any given theme can be developed into various types of questions, scenarios and tasks,” it said.

The Examinations Syndicate stressed that the preparation and administration of examination instruments are carried out in accordance with established standard operating procedures, with strict adherence to security and confidentiality requirements under the Official Secrets Act 1972.

It also reminded all parties against speculating or circulating unverified information, advising 2026 SPM candidates to remain calm and focus on the examinations currently underway.
