Budget 2027 artwork celebrates Malaysia’s diversity

PETALING JAYA: A piece of art combining steel wire weaving, bamboo and recycled leather has been created to symbolise Malaysia’s diversity, creativity and commitment to sustainability in conjunction with Budget 2027.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also Finance Minister, met local artists David Cho Chee Min and Amira Wani Jamil on Thursday (Oct 8) to view the special creation.

"The artwork reflects Malaysia’s unique diversity, brought together through creativity, resilience and sustainability," the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Friday (Oct 9), the day Budget 2027 is to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat.

"Different backgrounds, united by values. This is the strength of Malaysia."
