DRAWING on nearly a century of aviation heritage, Swiss watchmaker Longines expands its celebrated Spirit collection with four new timepieces for 2026: two new Longines Spirit Pilot models and two new Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback chronographs.
United by a striking blue aesthetic, these latest additions are all COSC-certified chronometers, highlighting the uncompromising precision demanded by aviation while remaining faithful to the collection’s flight-inspired DNA.
Introduced in 2020, the Spirit line honours pioneering aviators such as Amelia Earhart, Elinor Smith, and Richard Byrd who trusted Longines instruments during historic feats.
For 2026, the series welcomes four new references distinguished by matt blue dials paired with either an interchangeable blue rubber strap or a stainless-steel bracelet equipped with micro-adjustment folding clasps.
Longines Spirit Pilot
First launched in 2025 as a refined interpretation of the modern pilot watch, the 39mm Spirit Pilot now arrives in a sleek three-hand blue iteration.
- Case and design: 39mm round stainless-steel case with enhanced ergonomics, 11.5mm thickness, 47.40mm lug-to-lug, screw-in crown, and screw-down back. Water-resistant up to 10 bar (100m).
- Dial and hands: Matt blue dial featuring 12 applied rhodium-plated Arabic numerals with Super-LumiNova and rhodium-plated hands for high visibility in all conditions.
- Movement: Longines-exclusive self-winding calibre L888.4 with a silicon balance-spring. Offers ISO 764-compliant magnetic resistance, up to 72 hours of power reserve, and official COSC chronometer certification.
Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback
Celebrating Longines’ pioneering role in flyback chronograph technology, first developed in the early 1930s and patented in 1935, the new Spirit Pilot Flyback combines historical legacy with modern watchmaking.
- Case and bezel: Refined 39.5mm stainless-steel case measuring 13.4mm in thickness. Features a bidirectional rotating bezel with a blue ceramic insert and countdown timer, a box-shaped sapphire crystal, and a transparent sapphire case back.
- Movement: Longines-exclusive hand-wound column-wheel calibre L792.4 with flyback function. Features a silicon balance-spring, COSC chronometer certification, and up to 68 hours of power reserve.
- Dial and functions: Matt blue dial with small seconds at 9 o'clock, 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, center 60-second hand, and 10 applied rhodium-plated Arabic numerals with Super-LumiNova.
