THE sight of two king cobras fighting in a nearby drain startled anglers at a fishing pond in Baling, Kedah, Kosmo! reported.

Pond owner Basri Ramli, 56, said several anglers heard strange noises from the drain behind a fishing shed on Wednesday.

“They went over to have a look and were shocked to see two king cobras fighting,” he said, adding that he immediately contacted the Baling Civil Defence Force.

Its officer Lt Mohd Faizol Ab Aziz said both reptiles were caught and would be handed to the Wildlife and National Parks Department.

“One snake weighed about 8kg and measured 5m while the other one was 5kg in weight and about 4.5m long,” he said.
