Umno Youth chief, team attend  PAS Youth Muktamar

PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh and other key members of his leadership team were seen at 67th PAS Youth Council Muktamar taking place in Kota Baru.

According to a Sinar Harian report, Akmal and his delegation were escorted by PAS Youth Chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden and deputy PAS president, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Akmal’s presence with about 25 of his fellow party members was roundly appreciated when Afnan Hamimi delivered his opening address at the muktamar.

In his speech, Afnan Hamimi said the unity among Muslims cannot be just a mere slogan, but needs to be led through sincere action.

According to him, the PAS Youth Council is set to organise the Himpunan Mega Penyatuan Ummah (Mega Ummah Unification Rally) as the climax of its ongoing initiative to unite the Malay-Muslim electorate.

The PAS youth chief said the initiative will be grounded by five pillars that lead to unity – faith, closing of ranks, effort, determination, and goals – supported by movements across four key sectors such as religious institutions, youth mobilisation, professional technocrats, and inter-ethnic relations.

“When Muslims unite, the rights of other religions and races are defended fairly and equitably. We may differ in faith and culture, but we share the same future,” Afnan Hamimi said.
