PUTRAJAYA: Star Media Group, through StarProperty, is taking its coverage of Budget issues a step further by bringing property industry stakeholders together and channelling their recommendations directly to policymakers.
Now in its fourth edition, the StarProperty Budget Roundtable is the only initiative of its kind by a Malaysian media organisation that gathers feedback from the property industry, consolidates it into policy recommendations and presents the findings to key government decision-makers for consideration in the national Budget process.
“I really appreciate that The Star has been consistently helping us with this Budget initiative. I would like to credit The Star as the only media with a formal initiative that not only provides a problem statement but also suggestions and solutions,” said Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming on receiving the StarProperty Budget 2027 Roundtable Report yesterday.
The roundtable uses an industry survey followed by discussions among property stakeholders to identify challenges and develop practical recommendations.
For Budget 2027, the initiative brought together developers and industry representatives from across the country, including Sabah and Sarawak, with recommendations spanning affordability, financing, urban planning, regulatory efficiency and infrastructure.
The initiative reflects the evolving role of a media organisation – informing the public and providing a credible platform that connects industry perspectives with policymakers on issues that affect Malaysians.
Don’t miss the complete coverage in the upcoming StarProperty Pullout on Oct 2, 2026.
