Two friends charged with murdering Indonesian man in Klang

KLANG: Two friends have been charged at the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of an Indonesian man earlier this month.

Muhd Asnawi Ghazali, 37, and Musa Ramli, 25, nodded in understanding after the charges were read out before Magistrate Siti Zubaidah Mahat on Friday (Aug 28).

However, no plea was recorded from either accused, as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

The pair, together with another man still at large known as Kutek, are accused of killing Suherman, 47, at an unnumbered house in Kampung Baru Telok Gong, here, around 6.30am on Aug 6.

They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code and face the death penalty, or 30 to 40 years' jail and at least 12 strokes of the cane, upon conviction.

The court set Nov 27 for the next mention of the case. – Bernama
