KUALA LUMPUR: The mother in a family of four who were found dead in Kepong here was the victim of a love scam, say police.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said they found a note written by the father indicating that his wife had been duped in a love scam, leading to losses and debts of around RM260,000.
"The wife made continuous attempts to contact the scammer and the suspect felt she had gone too far and was ashamed in front of their children," he said, adding that a knife and a pair of gloves were found inside a drawer in the master bedroom.
"The post-mortem examination on the suspect's body is expected to be conducted on Saturday (Aug 29), after the Kuala Lumpur Hospital forensic team visits the scene in the morning," Comm Fadil said in a statement on Friday (Aug 28).
On Thursday (Aug 27) a 48-year-old man died after falling off a building while his wife and their two children were found murdered in a condominium in Desa ParkCity, Kepong.
