PKR must self-reflect and address weaknesses before next GE, says Fadhlina

MELAKA: It is time for PKR to self-reflect, acknowledge its weaknesses and soldier on as a party, says Fadhlina Sidek (pic).

“We no longer have time for trivial matters. We must acknowledge our weaknesses, listen to the conscience of the people, provide the best possible service, and build upon all our strengths as the voice of the people,” the Wanita Keadilan chief said in her opening remarks at the joint Wanita and Angkatan Muda Keadilan congress in Ayer Keroh on Friday (Aug 14).

She urged delegates to use the party’s congress as a platform to unpack constructive criticism and absorb speeches by leadership to form an action plan aimed at securing victory in the next general election.

“Use this platform for collective self-reflection, acknowledging our weaknesses and shortcomings with full awareness and sincerity,” she said.

Fadhlina added that the party must also empower new talent to take on leadership responsibilities.

“We must continue to make room for new commanders to lead, giving them the full space they need to focus on the leadership of the party,” she said.

The annual PKR congress, which began on Thursday, will run through Sunday (Aug 16).
