KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received a total of 15 four-wheel drive Light Operation Vehicles (LOV).
Sabah deputy director Lizalman Abu said the vehicles will be distributed to Fire and Rescue Stations throughout Sabah based on operational needs.
“The delivery of 15 LOV units marks an important step in enhancing our preparedness and mobility,” he said during the handover ceremony held at the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department headquarters here Thursday (Aug 13).
The vehicles will also improve the department’s response capacity.
“Sabah has vast geographical areas with diverse terrain, which requires suitable assets to support the movement of teams in the field.
“We thank the Government for approving the procurement of LOVs to strengthen the department’s preparedness and operational capacity, particularly in Sabah,” he added.
