Both coalitions secured a total of 25 seats - more than minimum 19 needed for a simple majority in the 36-seat state assembly.
This allows both coalitions to form the new Negri Sembilan state government.
Barisan won 18 seats, while Perikatan secured seven seats.
Pakatan Harapan was victorious in 11 seats.

When it comes to the popular vote, Pakatan had the biggest share.
The coalition garnered 256,386 votes, which was 40.16% out of the total 638,377 ballots.
This was followed by Barisan which secured 227,067 votes or 35.57%.
