PETALING JAYA: All polling centres for the 16th Negri Sembilan Election are closed as of 6pm and the vote-tallying process begins.

Voters in Negri Sembilan will fulfill their democratic rights and civic duty in the 16th state election to elect their new representatives on Saturday (Aug 1).

A total of 859,760 registered voters, including 7,391 postal voters, will determine which coalition is given the mandate to govern Negri Sembilan, following a 14-day campaigning period that ended right at midnight last night.

The voting process began simultaneously at 8am across 401 polling centres statewide involving 1,668 streams, before closing at 6pm.
