PETALING JAYA: The body of a Malaysian man who was allegedly stabbed to death during a group fight involving foreign nationals in Eumseong, in South Korea's North Chungcheong Province, is being prepared for repatriation.
The victim's younger sister, Ain Sephia, 25, said the family had been informed by the victim's wife that the post-mortem was completed.
She said several documentation procedures were still being finalised with the Malaysian Embassy in South Korea before the body could be flown home.
"So far, we have submitted all the required documents. Once all the procedures are completed, arrangements will be made to bring my brother's body back to Malaysia.
"We have not been informed when the body is expected to arrive as there are still several formalities that need to be completed," she said when contacted on Monday (July 27).

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Ahmad Shah, was reported to have died after a stabbing in a group brawl in South Korea early Sunday (July 26).
His family learnt of the incident at 2.40am after his wife, Nurcahaya Ruslan, called to inform them that he had died.
Meanwhile, South Korean newspaper Korea JoongAng Daily reported that police had detained a Malaysian man in his 40s to assist in investigations.
The suspect is being investigated for murder and several other offences after allegedly stabbing the victim with a knife.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 3am on a road in Daeso-eup, Eumseong County.
Preliminary investigations found that two groups, including the suspect and the victim, were involved in a large fight at the scene.
It is understood that about 10 people were involved in the altercation before the suspect allegedly produced a knife and attacked the victim.
