KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Tisha Shamsir, who starred in popular police drama Gerak Khas 2.0, pleaded not guilty in a Magistrate’s Court here Friday (July 10) to a charge of self-administering three types of drugs on Tuesday (July 7).
Tisha, 40, whose real name is Shanorbiah Shamsir Alam, was charged after a urine test found that she had self-administered methamphetamine, amphetamine and ketamine into her body at the toilet of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division office at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters here at 7.30am on July 7.
The charge was framed under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which provides for a maximum fine of RM5,000 or imprisonment of up to two years, and supervision for two to three years, upon conviction.

“Bail is to ensure the accused’s attendance. The accused was granted police bail and appeared in court on her own today to face the charge, and there is no risk of her absconding,” the lawyer said.
Magistrate Khairunissak Hassni allowed the woman bail of RM1,000 with one surety and fixed Oct 8 for mention for the submission of documents.
Tisha, who was wearing a face mask, arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex at 8.49am, escorted by three security guards.
