Mohamad Sabu to represent Malaysia at Iran supreme leader's funeral


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has designated Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu as its representative at the official funeral of the late Iran supreme leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran on Friday.

The Foreign Ministry said the Agriculture and Food Security Minister would also meet with the Iranian leadership to convey Malaysia's condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Iran.

"Malaysia is profoundly saddened by this loss and stands in solidarity with the leadership and people of Iran during this period of mourning," its said in a statement on Friday (July 3).
