JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Johor Chapter has announced the return of the MATTA Fair Johor, which will take place from Aug 7 to 9 at the Austin International Convention Centre (AICC).

This edition brings a different variety of deals to the table, especially for Johoreans with a passion for travelling.

The fair will bring together international travellers and locals, creating opportunities for new experiences while celebrating the memories and connections that make travel meaningful.

Larger than ever, this Johor Baru edition spans across 16,694 sq ft and brings together 195 booths.

A total of 75 organisations are set to participate, including 53 tour and travel agents, three State Tourism Organisations, a National Tourism Organisation, nine travel related service providers as well as nine representatives from theme parks, hotels, resorts and attractions.

Through this extensive line-up, the MATTA Fair Johor showcases a vibrant diversity of the industry.

“We are proud to introduce the MATTA Fair in different cities of Johor. Travel in Johor is not about distance, but about discovery, where the road ahead leads to a memory and every town holds a secret,” said MATTA Fair Johor organising chairman Kathryn Lee Hwee Ching.

“For the curious heart and the restless spirit, MATTA Fair Johor is always waiting, always ready. “This year, we have united an exceptional line-up of exhibitors to offer visitors unparalleled travel deals and inspiration.”

The crowd-favourite MATTA Fair Buyers' Contest returns, giving visitors a chance to win exciting prizes with every RM100 spent. Lucky winners could drive home a brand-new Proton Saga MC3 or walk away with other attractive prizes, including Malaysia Airlines tickets to Paris. The contest is supported by Malaysia Airlines as the official airline partner and RHB Bank as the official banking partner.
