Selangor Intelligent Parking System hit by temporary disruption

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Intelligent Parking (SIP) system is currently experiencing a temporary disruption affecting several functions, including parking payment services for users in Selangor and several areas outside the state that use the same platform.

Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd (RMSB), a company owned by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI Selangor), said that following the disruption, SIP platform operations had been temporarily suspended to enable a comprehensive recovery process and ensure the continued security of the system and the integrity of users' data.

It said a comprehensive technical assessment was currently being carried out to ensure the system resumes operations in a stable condition and meets the required standards of security, data integrity and reliability before services are restored.

"No parking charges or compounds will be imposed on users during the disruption," RMSB said in a statement on Tuesday (June 30).

RMSB said it understood the inconvenience experienced by users and local authorities during the disruption and was working to restore services as quickly as possible while prioritising users' interests and the system's smooth operation.

The public is advised to obtain the latest information only through RMSB's and SIP's official communication channels to avoid confusion or the spread of inaccurate information.

Users requiring assistance or further information regarding the disruption may contact the SIP customer service hotline at 03-5650 0913 or submit enquiries via email at sip@rmsb.my. – Bernama
