Two nabbed after KL police chase remanded for five days

KUALA LUMPUR: The two suspects who had been arrested after a police chase in the city have been remanded for five days.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus, in a statement on Sunday (June 28), said that both suspects have been remanded until July 1.

“The drugs found were believed to be for personal use. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.

On June 26, a four-vehicle pileup occurred after the suspect’s car smashed into three others as it was fleeing the police.

The duo had previously refused orders to stop, leading to a police chase from the Wangsa Maju area to Jalan Kuching.
