KUALA LUMPUR: Police have seized drugs worth RM135.63mil following an operation in the city.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said seven people, including a foreign woman, were detained in three raids under Ops Horitus on June 20.
"The suspects are aged between 20 and 55.
"We also seized various drugs, including 97.1kg of ecstasy pills, 47.12kg of MDMA powder and 760 litres of MDMA liquid, altogether worth RM135.63mil," he told a press conference at the city police headquarters here on Friday (June 26).
Initial investigations revealed that the syndicate has been operating since November last year, he said.
"It processed and distributed the drugs for the local market.
"We also seized several assets worth RM644,000, including six vehicles," he said, adding that all seven suspects have been remanded for further investigations.
According to Comm Hussein, the drugs seized could have been supplied to a million users.
"The successful operation is our commitment in combating drugs.
