King grants audience to chief justice, army chief


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today granted an audience to Chief Justice Tun Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh.

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, the audience with His Majesty took place at Istana Negara here.

On June 1, Wan Ahmad Farid was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Mahkota (SSM), which carries the title ‘Tun’, in conjunction with the official birthday of His Majesty at Istana Negara.

Wan Ahmad Farid, 63, was appointed the 17th Chief Justice on July 28 last year.

In a separate post, Sultan Ibrahim also granted an audience to Army Chief General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman. - Bernama
