King confers medals on 124 recipients


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has graciously conferred medals on 124 recipients in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration.

The investiture ceremony was officiated by Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim at the Awards and Medals Ceremony for the districts of Muar, Tangkak and Segamat, held at the Sultan Ibrahim Jubilee Hall in Muar, Johor, yesterday.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim, a total of 29 individuals received the Pingat Lama Dan Baik Dalam Perkhidmatan, while 19 others were awarded the Pingat Jasa Dan Lama Dalam Pekerjaan.

Also, 60 individuals received the Pingat Sultan Ibrahim Pangkat Kedua, and 16 others were awar­ded the Pingat Sultan Ibrahim Pangkat Ketiga.

According to a Bernama report, the ceremony began with a prayer recital led by the Muar District Kadi.

This was followed by a pledge of loyalty delivered by the Muar District Officer, accompanied by the district officers of Tangkak and Segamat.
