Two soldiers killed during grenade training exercise in Kedah


GURUN: Two army personnel, a man and a woman, were killed in an incident believed to have occurred during a grenade training exercise at the firing range of Camp Hobart here on Tuesday (June 16).

The victims reportedly sustained serious injuries and were pronounced dead while being transported to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani.

Kuala Muda OCPD Asst Comm Hanyan Ramlan confirmed the incident, stating that initial information on the case was received at about 12.30pm.

Further details on the incident's circumstances were not immediately available at press time.
