King grants audience to Johor Mentri Besar

JOHOR BARU: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, on Sunday (June 7) granted an audience to Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi at Istana Pasir Pelangi here.

His Majesty received a briefing on Johor's economic performance, development and progress.

The briefing also covered efforts undertaken by the Johor state government to enhance the well-being of the people.

"This audience is part of His Majesty's routine periodic meetings with the state leadership to obtain the latest information on administrative affairs and state development reports," according to a post on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.

The post also stated that the well-being of the people has always been a priority for His Majesty.

"In line with this aspiration, various welfare initiatives will continue to be carried out through Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor, Yayasan Sultanah Fatimah and Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah, which play an important role in assisting those in need and easing the burden of the people throughout the state," it said. — Bernama
