Budi95 remains at 200 litres, lower quota was a glitch, says Finance Ministry

PUTRAJAYA: The Finance Ministry has assured the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) recipients that the programme’s monthly fuel quota remains unchanged at 200 litres, following a technical error that displayed a lower limit.

In a statement on Monday (June 1), the ministry said some users may have seen the monthly quota shown as 150 litres during a scheduled maintenance of the Budi95 system at 11pm on May 31.

It said the incorrect display was caused by a technical system error, which had since been identified and rectified.

“The Budi95 monthly quota remains at 200 litres per month for eligible users, including for June,” the ministry said, stressing that no changes had been made to the programme’s monthly limit.

The ministry added that it would continue to ensure the implementation of Budi95 is carried out smoothly, transparently and in an orderly manner to safeguard public interests and ensure targeted fuel subsidies reach eligible recipients.

It also expressed regret over any confusion caused by the technical error.
