Over 100 reports lodged nationwide against Tony Pua, say cops


KAJANG: There have been 120 police reports lodged against former MP Tony Pua over his comments in a social media post.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk M. Kumar said that police received reports nationwide and took statements from 95 people.

He added that police would also call in a constitutional expert for statements, he said at a press conference at the Kajang police headquarters on Tuesday (May 26).

On May 21, Pua said he recorded his statement in Petaling Jaya.

He is being investigated for his Facebook post commenting on Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who told Seri Kembangan assemblyman Wong Siew Ki and former Sungai Pelek assemblyman Ronnie Liu to visit Dataran Selangor and understand the principles of the Rukun Negara displayed on the plaque there.
