Car crash in Gombak kills three students, injures one


GOMBAK: A road accident here has killed three and seriously injured one after a car crashed into a lorry trailer.

Gombak OCPD Senior Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said that the accident occurred on Friday (May 22) at around 2am and involved a car that was carrying four university students.

“The car was en route from Genting Highlands and was headed toward UIA Gombak. It is believed that the driver then lost control before the car crashed into the back of a parked lorry trailer.

“The crash killed the driver and two passengers at the scene of the accident. The survivor suffered serious injuries and has been brought to the Selayang Hospital for treatment,” he said in a statement.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
