Setiawangsa residents to continue receiving support despite vacant seat, says Hannah Yeoh

PETALING JAYA: Residents of Setiawangsa will continue receiving services and support despite the vacancy of the parliamentary seat, assured Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh.

“I wish to assure the residents of Setiawangsa that services under the Federal Territories Department will continue without disruption.

“I have requested Kuala Lumpur City Hall mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif to support the City Hall Setiawangsa branch office in stepping up efforts to address local issues in the area and to ensure continued responsiveness to residents’ concerns.

“This includes allocating additional manpower during this period to strengthen these efforts,” she said in a statement on Monday (May 18).

Residents may continue seeking assistance through walk-ins, phone calls or email at the City Hall Setiawangsa branch office during operating hours, she added.

Yeoh also pledged to work with stakeholders to continue efforts to preserve Bukit Dinding.

“I will also work with all stakeholders to continue efforts to save and preserve Bukit Dinding so that it remains a green jewel of Kuala Lumpur for the people,” she said.

Yeoh, referring to the announcement by Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad to vacate the Setiawangsa parliamentary seat, thanked him for his service to Kuala Lumpur residents during his tenure.
