More than 10,000 litres of subsidised diesel recovered in Sandakan raid


PETALING JAYA: Thousands of litres of subsidised diesel have been found after a raid in Jalan Labuk in Sandakan by Bukit Aman earlier Wednesday (May 13).

Wildlife Crime Control Bureau/Special Investigation Intelligence (WCB/PSK) commander Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Zaki Ashar, in a statement Wednesday, said that the raid was conducted earlier in the day at around 3pm.

“A man was arrested during the raid for suspected illegal transfers of subsidised diesel fuel.

“Checks showed no proper license or documentation for the storage and transfer of the fuel,” he said,

Around 10,200 litres of diesel fuel worth RM21,930 was found, alongside a lorry tanker and eight drum barrels.

“The suspect and seized items have been handed over to the Sandakan Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry office for further investigations," he said.
