Thunderstorm warning issued for 10 states until 4pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) expects thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds to affect several states in Peninsular Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur until 4pm on Sunday (May 10).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the adverse weather conditions are expected to affect Perlis, Kedah and Penang.

Also affected are Negri Sembilan (Jelebu), Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat) as well as Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru).

In addition, Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub and Bentong), Perak (Kerian, Larut Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim) and Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas and Tanah Merah) are also involved. - Bernama
