PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has continued recording the statement of former economy minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli for a second day on Tuesday (May 5) to assist in investigations into alleged abuse of power and misappropriation involving a RM1.1bil investment deal.
The probe centres on a strategic collaboration agreement in the semiconductor industry between the Economy Ministry and a company.
MACC senior director of investigations Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar said Rafizi arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at about 10am.
“The recording of his statement on the second day concluded at around 7pm.
“The process will continue for a third day tomorrow, which is expected to take place in the afternoon,” he said.
The session on Tuesday lasted approximately nine hours.
