Cops gather outside Sogo ahead of 'Tangkap Azam Baki' protest

KUALA LUMPUR: Dozens of police officers have gathered outside the Sogo shopping mall here ahead of the “Tangkap Azam Baki” protest despite heavy rain beginning to fall.

The police, who started assembling more than an hour before the rally was set to begin at 3pm, had officers stationed in front of the mall’s entrance as well as across the street.

They were also joined by officers from the Kuala Lumpur Police Strike Force.

However, there was no sign of protesters gathering as of 2.20pm as heavy rain began, soaking members of the media and officers.
