Fuel prices April 23-29: Diesel plummets 85sen in peninsula, unsubsidised RON95 down 15sen, RON97 drops 25sen

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices dropped across the board for the week of April 23 to 29 in line with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), says the Finance Ministry.
In a statement on Wednesday (April 22), it said the retail price of unsubsidised RON95 petrol would decrease to RM3.87 per litre, down 15sen from RM4.02 previously, while RON97 will be at RM4.85 per litre, down 25sen from RM5.10 before.
Diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia will drop to RM5.12 per litre, down 85sen from RM5.12 previously.
Under the targeted subsidy framework, RON95 petrol under the Budi95 programme remains at RM1.99 per litre, while diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan stay at RM2.15 per litre.
Subsidised fuel prices under the Sistem Kawalan Petrol Bersubsidi (SKPS) and Sistem Kawalan Diesel Bersubsidi (SKDS) are set at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, respectively.
Since April 1, the monthly eligibility limit for Budi95 has been adjusted to 200 litres, a temporary measure until global supply conditions stabilise.
Additionally, diesel purchase limits apply in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
Light vehicles are limited to 50 litres per transaction, vehicles not exceeding three tonnes to 100 litres and those above three tonnes to 150 litres per purchase, the statement added.
"As an interim measure following the increase in diesel prices, the government will continue providing additional Budi Diesel cash assistance of RM100 in April, bringing the total aid to RM300 for recipients under Budi Individu and Budi Agri-Komoditi," the ministry said.
